Why Orbit
Built by operators who run centers
Child Care Orbit comes from a team that owns and runs child care centers in Texas. We built the system we wanted for our own centers.
Our story
We didn't start as a software company. We started as child care operators: opening doors at 6:30, covering classrooms when someone called out, chasing late tuition and filling out the same family information in three different places.
Every system we tried did part of the job. Billing lived in one place, leads in another, payroll in a third and food program paperwork on clipboards. Marketing meant hiring an agency or doing it ourselves at night.
So we built Child Care Orbit around our own centers. Every feature is shaped by what directors and owners actually do all day, and when something is clunky, we feel it first.
Why "Orbit"?
A center has a lot of moving parts: families, staff, rooms, money, meals and paperwork. We wanted all of them circling one center of gravity, so nothing drifts off on its own. Hence the name, and our line: At Child Care Orbit, we're the technology helping take care of your child.
